David to Teach a New Course at Wagner College
David will teach a brand new special topics course at Wagner College entitled Contemporary Musical Theatre Performance in Spring, 2019. Designed by David and Laura Josepher at ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com, this course will help Juniors and Seniors develop the skills necessary to be successul in 29-hour readings and workshops of new musicals. It will feature script/song analysis, musical adaptation assignments, cold reading and sight reading, audition techniques, and masterclassess with visiting directors, composers, and lyricists.

Sisco to Teach in Australia & Taiwan this October
Next month, David will head to Australia to be a keynote speaker for the ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing) Conference followed by three weeks teaching at the TPAC (Taipei Performing Arts Center) musical theatre workshop.

Kelly & Peloquin to Present "Six Dennis Rhodes Poems" at KeyedUp Concert
David is thrilled to have baritone Michael Kelly and pianist Marc Peloquin perform his rarely-heard song cycle "Six Dennis Rhodes Poems on Peloquin's upcoming KeyedUp Concert Series Recital on Saturday, October 28 at 8 PM at the Tenri Cultural Institute. Mondragon-Groff Sings Sisco
Mezzo Elizabeth Mondragon-Groff will sing Sisco's "Passages," a song cycle written for her to premiere at Carnegie Hall, as part of a recital including the works of Debussy, Granados, and Ravel. David Announces Resignation from Marymount Manhattan College
After ten years of teaching private voice at Marymount Manhattan College, David has decided to resign to focus on building his private studio, teach around the country and internationally, work on his company ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com with Laura Josepher, and focus more on composing. MUSM Choirs Perform "Variation V" at Spring Concert
Director of Choral Activities Dr. Erynn Millard will lead the MSUM choirs in their Spring concert entitled "Love Songs," featuring music by Brahms, Forrest and Sisco. David is delighted to have the choirs sing "Variation V," which was premeired at MSUM in early March during his residency. The Concert will take place on Sunday, April 24 at 4 PM at Gaede State. David Invited to Present at the 2016 NATS Conference in Chicago
David has been invited to present "Vocal Health on Broadway and Beyond" at the 2016 NATS Conference in Chicago this July. Previously, Sisco presented a poster paper about what is now ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com at the 2012 conference in Orlando. The presentation will focus on how performers, musical directors, casting directors and ENTs prevent and manage vocal damage caused by musicals on Broadway in London's West End and in Melbourne, Australia.

Sisco Invited to Participate in Tune in Time's Season Kick-Off
David will be part of the kick-off to Tune in Time's new season at the York Theatre on Monday, August 31st @ 7:30 PM. Dubbed the “Musical Theater Olympics,” 3 teams of composers and lyricists who’ve never worked together are forced to collaborate – and to beat the clock. Their task? They must write a song from a new Broadway musical, the title of which is picked from a hatful of audience suggestions – in the style determined by a spin of the dreaded Genre Wheel. Sisco Performs at the Schroyer Memorial Award Concert
David will perform Schumann and his own work at the first annual Schroyer Memorial Award Concert, held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Camden, NY at 7 PM. Founded in memory of Camden Central School music teachers Mary & David Schroyer, the Schroyer Memorial Award supports graduating seniors planning to go to college for music performance or education. The concert will feature the inaugural award winner, Matthew Mitchell, along with former colleagues and students of the Schroyers.

Manhattan Girls Chorus will sing Sisco's "I AM" at their Spring Gala on Wednesday, May 20 at the DiMenna Center in New York. The piece, which was commissioned by Artistic Director Michelle Oesterle and the Choir, features the girls' thoughts and dreams. Recently, part of the piece was performed at the Koch Theater at Lincoln Center as part of the Women in the World Summit.

Lincoln Center Debut!!
Manhattan Girls Chorus, under the direction of Michelle Oesterle, will sing selections from Sisco's "I AM" at the Women in the World Summit at the David H. Koch Theater on Thursday, April 23. Based on the girls' words, "I AM" explores what their names mean to them, their struggles with being bullied and what they dream of for themselves, their family and friends.
